What to see this week during London Design Festival

This is absolutely my favourite time of year, I've participated and enjoyed London Design Festival for ten years now and this year is no exception! With so many events and exhibitions to see it's difficult to know where to start, so as always I get to work doing what I do best, researching. This year I decided to share my must see show's which I may update as the week progresses.

I think this woman is simply amazing, not only does she create the most stunning furniture and objects that celebrate craft, she also creates interiors and has her own clothing label. Faye Toogood presnts The Trade Show at The Garage part of the Brompton Design District. In this unique collaborative project Toogood has exchanged her 'Spade Chair' specially cast in Aluminium with the participants who have donated a representative pice of their own work. // The Garage, 1 North Terrace, SW3 2BA / 16 September—24 September 2017

The V&A always blow me away with their shows for LDF, this year is no exception, I am really looking forward to seeing The reflection room by Flynn Talbot. The immersive light experience can be found in Prince Consort Gallery. The room lined with wooden drawers and cabinets once housed the Museums textile collections. // V&A, Prince Consort Gallery, Room 110, SW7 2RL / 16 September—24 September 2017

3 - SPACE10

Ikea's research lab Space10 will be popping-up in Shoreditch with a series of events that encourage you to explore the concepts around space and the consequences of urbanisation. SPACE10’s Exploring Spaces of Tomorrow takes place at Protein Studios, Shoreditch, London, EC2A 3EY from 18–23 September 2017

Over the past 5 years I have taken part in a trade show for LDF so I have always missed out on going to Design Junction. This year I will definitely be there, hosted again at the Kings Cross site the exhibition will house over 200 contemporary design brands an boutiques. // Granary Square, King’s Cross, N1C 4AA / 21-24 September 2017

5 - 17 Patterns X Ligne Roset

Ok I am slightly biased on this one but I have to share it because Aria is a beautiful interiors store and the cosmic collaboration between the two is stunning! // Barnsbury Hall, Barnsbury St, Islington, London N1 1PN / 16 – 24th September 2017
