Layer Mirrors at The Barbican Shop

Layer Mirrors in Metallic's are now available at The Barbican Shop. The mirrors are directly inspired by the Brutalist Architecture. Layer offer endless variety with several hanging points and the ability to layer the mirrors over each other.  The architectural shapes are highlighted by subtle etched lines which change direction depending from which point they are hung. Geo Mirrors now at The Design Museum

I am incredibly excited to announce that I now stock my new Geo Mirrors in the new Design Museum shop in their new location in Kensington and also on their online shop.

In 2008 the Design Museum selected the former 1960s building in Kensington High Street, West London, as its new home. This unique landmark from the 1960s, a Grade II* listed building that had stood vacant for over a decade. The Design Museum worked with John Pawson on the interior fit out of its building. OMA were responsible for the overall master plan and in conjunction with Allies and Morrison for the refurbishment of the exterior of the museum.

Immerse yourself in Design this Winter

This winter delve in to the intriguing world of the Gee family this December as Traces present an immersive experience at the National Trust’s Fenton House, Hampstead, in London. Discover spaces reimagined by artists, designers and makers with a wealth of specially commissioned objects, all available to purchase.

Unfold forgotten stories through a theatrical experience to challenge your senses this December. Wander through the abandoned rooms and unpick their secrets as fictional narratives are interwoven with factual discoveries of the Gee family in 1730s Hampstead.

Come and enjoy art, design and history through a selection of paintings, homewares, illustration, furniture, lighting, textiles, fashion, ceramics, glasswork, jewellery, food, scent and much much more! Traces will bring back the authentic Georgian feel of the house and its previous inhabitants, while giving it a new contemporary twist.

Visit during London's Open House

London's Open house in its 24th year is the capitals largest annual festival for Architecture and Design. It's an opportunity to explore buildings that would normally be off limits and I am very proud to be participating again this year, albeit in a new location.

The Icehouse Quarter in Barking, East London is a new creative community situated on the banks of the River Roding. It is a part of the riverside regeneration plan for the area where Bow Arts have taken on 11 Studios for now in Icehouse Court.

I will be in my studio 11-5 on Saturday 17th September, feel free to drop by for a chat, get a sneaky look at work on progress and enjoy the space that myself and Waffle Design share.

Handled Boards at The Conran Shop

The Conran Shop offers a carefully curated collection of furniture, lighting, kitchen and dining products, home accessories and gifts from some of the most iconic designers and hottest new talent from around the world. From August 2016 Bar, Lux and Orn Handled Boards will be available in London, Paris and Japan Stores.

The 'Handled Collection' is a homage to Haidée's silversmithing roots, the collection is a reinvention of a classic, inspired by the silver galleries at the V&A museum. 'I wanted to create an accessible product that was beautiful, useful and most of all sustainable.' The boards are made from Bamboo which is a grass, cutting bamboo actually encourages growth. The angled sides of the boards allow the collection to sit side by side on a surface, and the ornate handles of the boards give the board extra function as well as adding a little opulence to everyday cooking. See the full collection here.

We've Moved

After two and a half years being a part of Assemble's Yardhouse we sadly had to move over for the re-developers, Assemble will head to Bermondsey and myself and Waffle Design have moved to Bow Arts Icehouse Court in Barking.

Icehouse has been set up as a creative work-space for designers, makers and artists and has been supported by the Mayor of London's high street fund. It's really exciting to return to Bow Arts once more after I was previously a tenant within their live-work scheme in Balfron tower, also my design residency at Erno Goldfingers modernist home in Hampstead Heath was organised by Bow Arts.

London Fields Mirror Commission

I've finally got round to photographing a beautiful glass mirror commission the was installed a couple of months ago. The large mirror situated in the London Fields private residence is the first thing you see when you enter the hallway. The mirror was influenced by architectural details in the house made and uncovered during its refurbishment. The geometric mirror was designed with silver, bronze and grey coloured mirror with a 3mm bevel giving it a strong contemporary look.

If you would like to commission your own mirror get in touch for an initial consultation.

Style Council

A year ago I was living in the brutalist Balfron Tower in Poplar East London. It was designed by Erno Goldfinger and Trellick Tower in west London was its predecessor. It was my second property through the Bow Arts live-work scheme. During my time there I designed 'Balfron Box' for Balfron Season and opened my home for London's annual Open House.

Balfron has been getting a lot of press lately from Artists threatening to throw piano's of the top floor to ex-tenants up in arms about the privatization of local authority properties. However my favourite has to be Sarah Thompsons 'Style Council' (of course I am totally biased) Style Council brings together inspirational and eclectic selections of interiors from a generation of  homeowners who are redefining the status of local authority architecture.

My flat was one of fourteen homes immortalised in the book. With a forward by Wayne Hemingway and Its beautifully and highly personal insights by Sarah it shows real homes at their best and is an inspiration to any new home makers.

Studio LW & Haidée Drew

I am very excited to have been working with the very talented Emma Leslie and Rhiannon Wilkey from STUDIO LW for my current design residency at 2 Willow Rd, Erno Goldfingers Modernist home in Hampstead Heath.

The new Collection of multi functional accessories inspired by Goldfingers home will be launched during London Design Festival and Open House at 2 Willow Road. For an insight into my design process and an opportunity to handle the prototypes and talk to myself and Studio LW as well as a sneak preview of some finished pieces, you can book to go to the National Trusts 2 Willow Road 'Late' on Thursday 27th August.
